Grappling Hook PRO - New Grappling Hook Asset for Unity 5

Are you making an FPS game where your character is in need of a bit more mobility? Are you making a game where agility is the key to winning? Well then, let me introduce my new asset Grappling Hook PRO!

Grappling Hook PRO is simply put a grappling asset which is very easy to implement into your FPS games. Right now, the asset is limited to FPS view but it’ll soon enough support 2D and third-person views too. The asset features a fully custom inspector to make everything simple, and I’ll make a few hook models to include in the package for free.

Price?
Haven’t decided yet, I’m planning on releasing it either for 5$ as for support to my new game I’m building, or else I’ll just release it for free.

Without further ado, I want to show you a short footage after 2 hours of its development:

There’ll be more media coming soon, and there’s still some polishing to do - once again - it’s just after two hours of its development.

Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions/feedback - I’m all ears.

I think it might be released in a few days. Let me know what you think.

Great, searched a long time for something like this. I like playing “Just Cause 3”. Does it work with UFPS or RFPS ?

Yes, it will be compatible with any first-person asset/toolkit. As a matter of fact, it does not include built-in movement, so you simply attach the script required to the player object, then choose amount of scripts you want to disable while using the hook in order to avoid double movements taking place.

Is this released now ?

Looks cool, there can be a lot more work done though in terms of realism but if this is 5 dollars, definitely worth it!

Hi guys! The asset will be for free instead, I decided it’d be cool to release it for anyone to download and use in their games.

Also, it’s going to be released sometime next week. I had my university exam today, so I had to study a LOT on it, meaning I could unfortunately not get to work on the asset. It’ll be finished soon though, and I’ll also polish it even after release.

Great, thank you.

I hope your exam went well!!

It looks really cool!

Can it be applied to a 2D / 2.5D game as well?

For the moment it only works with 3D, but it’ll be updated for 2D as planned.

@Sykoo Is there a download link for this yet? I would like to use this.
