Grass and Lighting

I’m trying to figure out how to get the grass that is painted onto the terrain to change with lighting changes. With a day/night cycle, the grass doesn’t seem to be affected at all by the lighting changes. How to I get the grass to be lit the same way as everythign else? (And, do the trees suffer the same problem?)

without an all own shader thats not possible through the realtime lighting. the foliage is only affected by the lightmap of the terrain
