The solution depends on your game’s style and environment. An enclosed 3D space may actually be easier to solve than 2D platformer jumping across non-trivial shapes. We need more info.
Keep in mind that it’s very unlikely we’ll be able to do anything more than guide you in this problem. A character controller of this complexity is going to be a real nightmare, so be prepared to do a lot of work (and math!).
