I am pleased that Unity changed the name of this section. they must have seen our new threads the last few days and saw the importance in it, way to go Unity! 
I changed it as an experiment… we’ll see if it makes any difference 
Well for the lazy readers they should now know right from common sense of section title that anything in here has to be Unity related.
I think it’s good, but it’s so odd seeing a different name where “Gossip” once was.
EDIT: on a second thought, I don’t like change :(! Maybe make it “Unity Gossip” instead.

I like it! although it does feel weird
notice they also changed the description, it specifies Unity game development so I hope there is an improvement.

Glad to see the change, weird to see it change after 2 years of it saying “Gossip” though. Well, change is one of the only constants in life I suppose. And in this case I think its for the better, even though it seems weird to actually see it.
I think it will help the lazy minded to understand, “hey this says Unity general discussion so everything I discuss on here should by all means relate to Unity”. Now as sarcastic as that sounded if people think like that they will be fine, and if not then they are going to get a locked thread every time and continue to complain like always, but I feel this will at the very least clean up 20%-30% of those types of threads compared to the section being called Gossip.
Don’t ask where I got those percentages from, they just felt right at the time. Anyways I know it will clean up this section a great deal more than before.
I AM GENERAL UNITY ! You guys can now start discussing HOW GREAT I AM !!
haha i hesitated before i opend this section after seeing a new name its for the better though good job.
I’m already getting used to the name (I check these forums too much :)). The thing is, many of the recent locked threads had to do with Unity (the price), so I’m really not sure how much this will change the amount of junk in the section.

i was wondering where the gossip section went
I don’t really understand the problems people had with how things have gone. It seems to me like this was supposed to be a place where the only thing the topics had in common was the fact that they were posted by Unity users - a place for people brought together by a common goal to just be social.
Changing the name feels like making things all work and no play - kinda weird for a community of game developers. It seems like there should at least be another forum for just talking about whatever you want.
I for one enjoyed seeing all the random stuff other Unity users were thinking about random stuff.
That was the problem, the section was not meant for anything and everything. Only Unity related topics.
But this was never the point of Gossip to begin with, it was never about socializing and random topics, that’s why threads were always being locked, and hence the name change.
