Hello guys, I am currently working on a space shooter game called Guardian Angels. The game is about an Alien invasion of Earth and you are part of a squad ordered to destroy the invaders and protect your base. It’s fast passed with plenty of action.
This is my very first game I’ve made as I’m learning how to program and integrate different elements together, so please keep that in mind if you give feedback. Virtually all the elements were created by myself, including the Soundtrack. let me know what you think.

So does the speed. How do you get the AI to fly around?

The AI is actually quite basic. I used constant force for moving and then have them rotate for turning. They just fly around until they “see” a target and then attack until it can’t be seen or until they get attacked themselves. There’s also a “boundary” which is just a distance from the center and will turn around if they exceed that. they’ll attack anything with the proper tag. so allies attack enemies and vice versa.
For some reason the pictures provided reminds me of Starfox 64… Looks cool though

Hey, thanks for the comments guys. Ya, this definitely has some “similarities” to Star Fox. While the mechanics are very different, I did take quite a bit of inspiration from Star fox, for sure.

Got my destroyers in the scene complete with rainbow death beams, oh yes. Also got the destruction of the ship wings implemented and the Angle base can be completely destroyed now as well. This update is all about the destruction.
