So I’m considering putting together some GUI Skins for the asset store but I’m wondering what should be included. I know I need to include PSDs of the GUI as well as PNGs of each part. All clearly labeled of course.
There’s also the Extra GUI Skins package on the Asset Store, provided by Unity and also free like the Necromancer GUI. And yeah, the UnityGUI forum section would be better for this thread.
Yes I know this would be better suited in the GUI forum, realized that after I posted it. If a mod would move it I would appreciate it, but it’s not totally out of place here as it’s still Unity related and I was hoping for personal input not just a precise list of what to include. I’ve seen threads more out of place than this one.
The Necromancer GUI has a very nice test script that shows off how it looks. I used the pause menu script I put on the Unify wiki to test the Necromancer and Extra GUI Skins - 域名已过期,无法正常使用 - you are welcome to include that script in your package if you like.
Also, if you’re targeting mobile users, you may want to provide different-sized versions of your skins for different screen sizes/resolutions, e.g. GUIKit001 has a 100% and 200% version of its skin.
@Zoe: I also wanted to get into doing some GUI stuff not long ago but a friend mentioned that there was not much point just yet because of the update so I can’t wait for it so that I can screw around and have some fun creating some interesting GUI Skins
Also I forgot to mention. I recently checked out your portfolio work Zoe and you have some cool designs in there, there is some really nice stuff. I like the Runes and the Eyes!!
