First and foremost this has nothing to do with game development with Unity.
Second it’s obvious that most of such apps violate probably the google playstore terms of services as well as the actual right owners terms of services. Depending on the country and the actual laws trying to circumvent an established paying service could be considered fraud. By accepting the terms of services of an application (even when it’s free) you atually make a contract with the company providing the software. If certain features require payment and you do not pay for it you effectively stole that content.
Worst case cenarious could be that you’re faced with a lawsuit and / or your google account might get banned. Keep in mind that not only the right owner has an interest on the payment but also the google play service as they get a share on the income.
Apart from the obvious wrong and unlawful nature of such actions it will only work when the software implements IAP in an “unsecure” way. I’ve worked in a bigger company and we always had seperate payment servers to verify the purchase directly on the google / apple servers and comunicate that information back to the app through proprietary server communication. That way, without specific customized modifications of the actual app you can’t really circumvent the check if you actually purchased an item.
We also stored pretty much all information necessary on the server. This of course required a permanent internet connection while playing but provides max security. There are probably many games which could be “tricked” by such apps since they only rely on the usual IAP interface google provides.
I’ve quickly decompiled the first app you mentioned and had a quick look through the code. It doesn’t seem to contain malicious code (code bad for the end-user). It could work tough it should clear that the usage of such apps is not legal.
