Halo Question

I hope this is the correct place to pose this question…

Using Unity-Pro : I have a day/night script and scripts to make the suns and moons rise, travel the sky and set. During the night Fog is enabled and is gradually increased to midnight and then back down again towards sunrise. In order to be able to see the nice textures on the moons I use a different shader/material on the moons with Fog turned off to get a really nice planet effect. I also want the moons to have nice moonlight halo’s that vary with the seasons, but when fog is turned on, the halo’s disappear.

I’ve tried glow, blur, halo, all sorts of effect changes on the moons, but can’t get the halo effect when fog is on. I’m probably making a dumb mistake … what am I not doing ? How can I get the halo back on my moons?

(pic attached showing the night scene, and thanks in advance for any advice)

If you’re using the built-in halo effect, that fades out with fog (and there’s nothing really to do about it). I would consider just putting a plane up with your own halo texture - then you’ve got complete control by animating the material

Thanks so much. I just thought I was going crazy… hehe.
