i haven’t. I’m asking cause i wanna use GUITexture with (pixel) Inset values for menu elements in my app. What happens when they run on the higher res. of the Retina display? Will they show up smaller on screen? Or how is it then? Or is the iphone4 intelligent anyhow? Or is there even a way to change the displayed resolution to old school 480x320 if i want it to?
sorry for bumping that, but in austria you cannot even a buy i iphone4, even if you would like ;-/
so, my guitextures are also positioned with pixelinset - do i have to make adjustments?
maybe someone has already tested a similar problem on a 4-device…
thanks!!

AFAIK, if you don’t make a universal app, your app will run in double pixel mode in iPhone 4. So if will effectively be identical to the versions on previous iPhones.
Ah Thanks!!! This is the answer that i was kind of hoping for. So do i assume this right that when you load up your app via Connect you have to set a checkmark somewhere that says not-universal to get your app show up on iphone 4 like on an older device with 480by320p?
So this makes sense now to me, cause i was confused when Steve Jobs said (on iphone 4 keynote) that apps (i think made with the standard UI-kit) will automatically look good on iPhone4. And like somebody else posted apple wouldn’t wanna loose many of it’s back catalog games (that are not made with standard UI-kit) on the new devices. So all these games just need to be updated as non-universal games and everything will be fine and as usual on the new devices?
