Has anyone else seen this?

bit-gui.

Seems pretty awesome, and I will be testing it .

Does anyone know how to fix the error?

its:

Private APIs are not accessible in Unity 3.

Ah, thanks.

Thats a Pretty nice GPU you have there, but I think that amount of Graphics Based RAM should be complimented with more RAM, 4gb isnt that much compared to your 1gb of Graphics RAM.

Thanks.

I will eventually upgrade my RAM, but when I built this rig, I had a few priorities, and a kind of limited budget.

Adding RAM for the sake of adding RAM is basically useless; more RAM won’t do anything unless you actually use it for something. I have a quad-core with 4GB RAM (with a 1GB Radeon 5870) and it’s fine for Unity/modeling/Photoshop/etc. With 3GB I was occasionally seeing swapping to disk, but an extra GB took care of that.

Unless you have a Windows machine, then adding more RAM means that Windows can simply eat it up for fun. I love how Mac’s handle memory

ok, sorry, it was just a thought and an observation. I have very little knowledge on how windows anymore (I have a mac (MacBook Pro, 13.3", 4gb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 9400m (256 mb Video RAM), 250 gb hdd (ALL off the top of my head) and would like to upgrade to 8gb RAM) and of course everyone makes a big deal of some small thing I said.

so do I!!! I have exactly 15 programs running (including Unity) and Its running fine!!! (I was even (a couple of hours ago) playing Star Wars the Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition, which is any optimizers nightmare, Its way over processor-intensive (recommended that you have 512mb Video RAM, which you could just say that 512 is required, because if i have high detail on, and max resolution, on my MacBook Pro, Its painful, so i have to set it for the lowest resolution and put high detail off (lowest resolution is about 800 - 1000 or something, which is still too high)) I would need an iMac to run it effectively (which i dont have the money for right now) but when I was playing SWTFU it was running as fast as I would expect it to, and not slow at all, except for the live rendering parts for cut scenes, which apparently ASPYR is just really bad at optimizing games for more systems.

There is a beta version of bitverse unity GUI (dated January 2011, get it here: http://code.google.com/p/bitverse-unity-gui/ ) that seems to fix this issue. Looks like a nice gui system btw.

Doesn’t work so good for me so far …
as soon as I add a Window to the scene I can’t pan or zoom any more.

@motionblur - I think I know what you’re talking about, in the editor, right? I think I had that issue also. Are you viewing from the “bottom” view in the scene view? For some reason when I restarted Unity the problem went away.
