Have dropdown menu return string of name of selected option instead of index value?

The only way I found on the Unity Documentation to return what option is selected on a dropdown menu is with Dropdown.value, but that returns the value of the index of the selected option. My dropdown menus change their options frequently and it would be tedious to make nested switch statements to account for every possible permutation of the dropdown list and what I want out each option.

It would be so much easier to have a return based on the LABEL of each option chosen instead of the index, this way I could have only one switch statement for each of the 9 menus I’m working with.

The solution is to use dropdown.options[dropdown.value].text

Just had to read the documentation a little bit closer
