Having A Behavior trigger IPointer based Events without a graphic

So it’s me with another very specific question:

As soon as a GO has a Graphic attached to it, custom components on that GO can receive the IPointerEnter etc. events based on the rect created by the graphic. However, is it possible to have a component, that triggers these events, even if there’s no graphic present? For example when I want invisible click zones.

On way I found was to add an empty text component, but that is a bit ugly. Another way I found was to inherit from Graphic, but that adds a bunch of fields and methods I wouldn’t need either. Any other ideas?

So there are multiple raycasters (graphic, physics, physics2d). If you’re looking to just keep it with the graphic raycaster then you need to add a graphic adds the object to a list of object to check.

So it needs to inherit from Graphic?

In my experience yes, or RigidBody / RigidBody2D.

Alternatively, you can write your own raycaster that looks only for your specific objects or has another way of managing the pointer to object interactions.
