Having real issues with Unity Remote after upgrade

So I installed OS3.0 on my iPhone, then downloaded and installed the new XCode, then downloaded and installed Unity 1.0.3.

I recompiled Unity Remote and reinstalled that too.

Now Unity Remote won’t work properly - it seems to have real trouble keeping the connection with the Mac, even though I’m working in exactly the same place, and other than the “upgrades” I’ve done, nothing else has changed.

I’ve tried Unity Remote on versions 2.0 and 3.0, but no difference - it runs like a dog, making my projects completely unworkable as I can’t test the control. It does exactly the same thing with my wife’s iPhone (which I also use for dev) too.

Please help! I can’t do ANY work until this is sorted!! :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Try disabling Bluetooth on your iPhone.

huh! That works! But why? I usually always have Bluetooth on my iPhone, and I’ve never had any issues before? :?

OS 3 introduced an expansion to what BT can do. With OS 3, the BT can be used as peer to peer networking

I personally never have BT perma enabled, as it uses a fair amount of energy that I can spend more usefull especially as BT is nearly never used for anything

I’m having the same problem with Unity Remote. It build the APP fine, and most of the time it can see my network (80% of the time), but it hardly ever connects to Unity (about 10% of the time) and your just left there looking at Remote screen with “Searching for web services”. Tried knocking Blue Tooth on and off, reseting the devices (iPod 2nd Gen and iPhone 3G), but no improvment.
It use to work fine when I tried it in the demo version, which was just before I upgraded the OS. It’s also the same on both of my devices.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to fixing this as I’m new to both the MAC and Unity (but really enjoying both) =)

Thanks,
Mike.
