Having Slow frame rates on Unity scene view and game view.

Hello everyone, i am having an issue with the unity editor(edit and game view). The scene and game view runs very slow on my macbook pro 2016 either 3D or 2D game.

My specs:
CPU: 2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz LPDDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 540 1536 MB

I am thinking that this is not a hardware issue considering that i had the same results in Unity 2D and also based on the research i have done. Also the game runs very smooth when its built.

So, I managed to fix my problem by installing a newer Unity editor 2021.2.1 and it now works very well but would still like to know what caused the frames to drop on the older versions just for curiosity.
