HDR enabled Camera doesn't work with Samsung Galaxy S6

HDR enabled camera doesn’t work with Galaxy S6 but works fine on a 2 year older Sony Xperia.
What is the requirement for HDR to work? Is it even an idea to use it targeting devices 2 years old and newer?
