With Unity 2019.3b5 and HDRP 7.1.1 or 7.1.2, the standalone build crashes on start up. I tested with the sample scene (the small construction scene).
Can somebody else check if this is happening on their end as well?
Thanks!

Same. I wanna test the build but it crash. I don’t know if it only my project or Win 7 or something else. I’m on 2020 alpha.
Ok, I create clear empty project, install HDRP 7.2, create scene with cube, and build. It crash.
tested with 19.3b6 and same story.
Is anyone at HDRP team aware of this? It looks like the packages are 2019.3 verified…which should not be.
Do you have custom icon set in the player settings? Because this is what crashes the builds in b5-b6
It crashes with the test scene so I don’t think its the icons. But I will double check tonight.
Is it also crashing when you hit play in the editor?
In the past I had similar problems which got fixed when I changed the Scripting Backend from Mono to IL2CPP
btw, id0, there is no official 7.2 available as far as I know. only 7.1.2.
Hey jjejj87, it doesn’t seem like the issue is known. It would be great if you could file a bug report for this issue and post the ticket number here.
Tomas, after the latest Windows/nVidia update, it seems to be fine now. I am a bit confused as I was only behind on one update and I usually stay up to date with drivers. Nevertheless, it seems to be working again.
As for more information, the standalone crashed 50% of the time before start or get stuck in flickering screen with UI text (Text mesh pro) all blocked out then eventually freeze after 10~15 seconds. It happened on 2 independant projects and on the HDRP test scene, so it probably isn’t my coding.
Strangely, if there were no 3d mesh in the scene, it worked just fine.
I am leaving this info in case it makes its way back and hopely this bit of information can help.
Cheers.
