Height above Ground

Good evening everyone,

I’m looking to get the users (person in the real world) height above ground.

Example: I’m on the ground therefore my height is 0. I walk up the stairs and my height steadily increases.

Is there an effective way of accomplishing this? I’ve read about using acceleration, but it’s way too shakey and no where near accurate.

Just a small bump.

For accuracy purposes, if really hate to have the user place the phone on the ground to calibrate the accelerometer.

Is there any other method to determine the height the phone is from the ground?

Barometer sensor? What phone are you using.

I have a very simple Android phone. I don’t believe I have a barometer sensor. I do have accelerometer and gyroscope
