I want to know if a free software like gimp or imagemagick can export/convert to a raw file to be use for Heightmaps in Unity 3d and how ?
It’s not free but its not really that expensive either, check out Fractscape. Granted im just getting into the heightmap thing but it seems to be a pretty powerful and useful tool. It also has the benefit of being built in Unity I believe. I actually just bought it this morning.
