Differences between different versions of Unity:

UNION (I haven’t read this very thoroughly):

Try a few of the tutorials and read up on the scripting, and how you make/import assets you want in your game.
A good playable fighting game is very feasible with Unity.

Generally it’s more additional functionality over the free version - but not enough that it’ll stop you making a commercial game or learning most of Unity. Comparision of Unity + Unity Pro features- Real-time tools for 3D, AR, and VR development | Products

thanks sccrstud92 and callahan.44. so callahan.44 i can still make a commercial game?? like i can import it to whatever format like ps3 for example

You can make a commercial game with the free version of Unity. If you want to develop for anything other than a computer you will need to get a different (paid) version of Unity and a license for what you want to develop for from the company that makes it. PS3 support for Unity is being developed.
See Unity Technologies FAQs

Sony (and the other manufacturers) have serious prerequisites for letting you develop games for their consoles. Even with previously published games, finances, business premises they can still say no. I don’t even know what the current price for ONE PS3 development kit is at the moment - probably about $25,000.

Apple charges $99 per year. :stuck_out_tongue:

oh wow thats a lot ok so i guess the right thing to do is to start with pc games i guess right?? i mean i know i got a lot of learning to do but generally once i get the hang of unity what do you all suggest is my next step?? i was going try and find a book and buy it to learn it.

Sticky at the top of Unity Support section is as good a place as any.

There are a few Unity books by developers here, and lots of tutorials and videos to watch.

You’ll probably want to look at the asset creation tools as well.
3D models - Blender (free) or more professional modeling tools like Maya, Max, etc.
Textures - Gimp (free) or commercial software like Photoshop.
