Help, 3D Tutorial Not Working, Lerpz no go :-(

I have just started on the 3D Tutorial with Unity 3.0. I open the project, add Lerpz to the hierarchy for the scene, hit play, then nothing. WASD keys are not doing anything. When I start the game, Lerpz runs through one cycle of his walking animation in the scene window then freezes.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

I was able to get Lerpz moving after completing the instructions on page 19 of the tutorial.
