Help converting from PlasticSCM to Unity DevOps (eg creating a workspace)

I have just updated my client from Plastic SCM v11.0.16 to the latest Unity DevOps Version Control client.

I’m very confused as to how to do things now. Is there a resource available to help people in this situation?

All the documentation I can find seems to be related to using DevOps from within Unity or Unity Hub.

I’m not really keen to go down that road, I just want to use the desktop client for my version control. The VC solution is advertised as (still) working for non-Unity projects, so I’m sure this must be possible.

Where can I now find help for people wanting to use the VC client separately from Unity itself?

A specific example: in the Plastic client I could create a workspace from a cloud repo by

  1. go to repositories list
  2. click on a repo and select “create new workspace”

I can’t see how to do this now.

You can create a workspace by clicking a download button on the repository in UVCS(Plastic SCM) standalone application. You can find many documents and tutorials at https://docs.plasticscm.com/ However, this is for a concept, and images in the tutorial do not rely on the NewGUI, unfortunately.
