I have entered the Ludum Dare October Challenge and thought I would have it covered when I put an existing unity game up for it that is already earning money and it’s for charity!
Cancer Wars is on Kongregate
And to date for this month it has made $0.35 from 207 ad supported plays.
So I only need about 389 new plays (1993 current) to earn that 1$ this month and make the LD challenge!
I’ll play the game but that actually means it will have to be played like half a million times to make any decent contribution. It sounds like Kongregate is a real rip off espically when you’re just trying to help a charity.
I would rather try polishing this game as much as possible and make some sort of co-op mode and then i would try to publish it on the steam but if that fails i would then sell it independently.
your game looks realy good and its great that but you are using the trial version and im prity shour your not aloud to post games that are made with that version of unity? im not quite shour but i think its like that. anyway great game
Actually I think you will find that the trial version is fine to develop a game with as I asked about this before, the trick is to build the game in the free version upgrade to the Pro trial version so you can use the profiler to optimise it and add some bells and whistles then release it and make enough to buy the Pro version, in theory!
Actually I now have the pro version so I should do a new build.
