I made a model in maya and textured it. When I put it into unity there’s no textures applied. My question would be how to export the model with textures from maya?
Fbx has an embed texture option. I’ve always just set textures up manually. In that case you just select the models material & drag and drop the texture to the slot you need it in.
If that’s not working then probably have other issues that need addressed. Hope that helps, but I’m late to the post. Hopefully you got it sorted out. ![]()
I have tried that. When I apply the texture to the mesh/object the whole thing gets the texture, even thou the object has different textures.
What format are you exporting to Unity as, fbx? The texture work in Maya, is the modeled UV mapped and you have maps assigned via materials? Or are you using some of Mayas procedural methods to create texture details?
Might help if you posted screen caps of how the textures model appears in maya along with material setups. And the same from Unity.
Desk with cloth on top is Combined. One without is separated. Which allows me to add each texture accordingly. I am wondering if I have to make a map texture, here is an example.
For any items that are combined in maya.
Try deleting your history in maya before exporting.
I have.
I don’t understand why i have issue with texturing, when others don’t, Manufactura K4 all his models are combined together put each texture is applied correctly to each item
If you’d like, setup a link you your scene and we’ll take a look. Sometimes faster than running down the list of usual suspects.
