HELP i need a day/Night Cycle and under water effect

Hello there, i am making a small game, and i wan’t a Day/Night to make it more real. I know that there are other tutorials for this on the forum but non of them worked for me :frowning: so please help me.

I also need under water effects so that the screen blurs when the player is under water. I know you can find other people that has written about this to but non of this has worked for me :frowning:

Underwater effect doesn’t work on unity 3 :frowning:

And how do you use the Day/Night cycle?

Under water effect works in unity 3.

I am pretty sure you need Pro to do it.

ok, well i have pro. what do i put the water level to? is it the water plan’s Y?

A day/night cycle is quite easy. You will need to give info on how you want it to go about happening but.

You could put a directional light really high into the sky and centre it to your terrain. THEN child it to a game object that is in the middle of the terrain. and based off the time, is what rotation that game object would be.

As for the skybox… That could possibly be changed too, but for a smooth transition, I don’t know.

Like what the time will be based off, system time? server time? Your own world time? etc. But now that I’ve told you how to do it, I don’t think telling me matters much any more :stuck_out_tongue:

The time should be around 20 min. so 10 min day and 10 min night
