Help me find the android tools under : edit -> preferences -> External Tools

I need someones help finding that android option in the external tools menu. I wish to use unity for android game making but cant due to this problem. Im sure it detects my sdk for android i downloaded and executed to program files\android directory however i cant even see the android modules loaded in the build settings. The switch platform and build buttons are not there therefore im sure that the sdk is not being detect properly.

I use 5.3 version of unity

When you install Unity 5.3 you need to select Android in the installer to be able to develop for Android. The same applies to most other platforms too.

So many people fall for this issue, it seems

Well if it installs to the default location it is a hidden Windows directory:

C:\Users\Jack\AppData\Local\Android\sdk - replace Jack with your username.

AppData is hidden. Also that’s directory tree will contain your Unity assets you download but will be in Roaming instead and the Editor log is there too.

C:\Users\Jack\AppData\Roaming\Unity

I had the same issue. Do i need to re-install Unity to fix this issue?

@liuvirginia Did you install Android support during install? I believe Unity Hub will allow you install components after the initial install. Otherwise I generally reinstall to get the support packages.
