Help me. Please!

Hello everyone, who is reading this thread. I am a newbie and i try to get acquainted with Unity2D. But on my way, i see that it is very complex. Now, i wonder what i need study, Do i have to study C# ? Isn’t OOP important? … I find out that Unity is very interesting and I’m try to study. Please help me.

Just go to the Learn section at the top of this page, and start working through the tutorials. Recreate those projects on your own machine, step by step.

Yes, you will learn C#. No, you don’t really need to worry about OOP. Do the tutorials diligently, and you’ll pick up what you need.

Thank you JoeStrout.
I have to learn C#. What it means? I know some basic about c++ and c.

C# is the language you’ll be using as you work through the Unity tutorials.

Don’t worry about it too much — you’ll pick it up as you go. Or you can go to http://learncs.org for a quick introduction.

There is typically no need to learn OOP as its own topic. C# is an OOP language. So by learning C#, you will pick up OOP principles.

OOP is a very abstract topic on its own, and it’s unlikely to click through direct study.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I would recommend the “Roll a Ball” tutorial. It’s one of the first things I did and it shows a lot of the fundamental concepts using a very simple game.

learn C# for coding, not java script.
every game engine really is a complicated piece of software, so you just need to watch lots and lots of videos and tutorials and slowly you will know more and more of the systems you will need to use to actually make a game.
