I’m reaching out to seek guidance from fellow developers regarding a recent issue encountered during App Store review.
While submitting my app, the submission was successful; however, I received the following advisory from Apple:
ITMS-91061: Missing privacy manifest - Your app includes “Frameworks/UnityFramework.framework/UnityFramework”, which includes UnityFramework, an SDK identified as privacy-impacting. Beginning February 12, 2025, any new app or update using this SDK must include a privacy manifest file.
More details on this requirement can be found here.
Given this notice, I am looking to better understand the steps necessary to comply with this upcoming requirement, specifically in relation to UnityFramework. My questions are as follows:
- Has anyone successfully addressed this requirement in their apps? If so, what steps were involved in creating or obtaining the necessary privacy manifest file?
- Does anyone have information on whether Unity plans to release an updated version of UnityFramework that includes the required manifest, or if this is something developers need to manage independently?
I would greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you may be able to share.
