Help: Pay per click ad network strange revenue results....(chartboost/admob)

I currently use chartboost (and admob if chartboost fails) interstitials in my app on the play store. In the previous week I had gotten 71 clicks and 2 install and 500 impressions in chartboost, however I only got paid 14c for the 2 installs and nothing else. Does chartboost not pay for clicks? This week, I disabled my chartboost campaign so that only admob interstitials/banners are displayed and I made $2.21 in admob for clicks. Anyone have any idea on where I am going wrong with chartboost?

People usually say they make more from chartboost than admob, just wanted to hear other peoples opinions/experiences for revenue from clicks encase I am doing something wrong.

Which plugins are you using for admob and chartboost.

They’re the latest/official plugins released by chartboost/admob.

Forgot to mention,I also have 3 campaigns with the below priority filters in chartboost:

Highest: Minimum CPC: $0.20
High: Minimum CPC: $0.09
low: Minimum CPC: $0.02

I currently have 2 apps sharing the same campaigns(99% of impressions come from one app)

One of the things we’ve found is that the areas you’re targeting really make a large difference. If you have a campaign that targets the whole world you’ll get more clicks but less revenue for each install. Chartboost does do per-click payments on some campaigns, but the vast majority are payed on a per-install basis. Fortunately the numbers are a lot higher for those, though. If you have a lot of players in Tier 1 countries, you could see some good revenue per install ($1+), but lower tier regions will pay much less per user.

BTW if you experiment with your ad configuration a lot, definitely take a look at Ad Wrapper (check my signature). It’s a plugin we made to help people manage multiple ad networks in a single project. Definitely worth it if you’re trying to improve revenue through ads since it makes changing things pretty quick and easy.

Do you know how I can filter pay per click campaigns only?
I have seen someone use it it a video somewhere and said it had good results on android, but they did not show how to do it.

I don’t know how, unfortunately. Chartboost’s UI can be a pain to navigate sometimes. Their support is pretty good, though, so I’d suggest sending them an email. They responded within a few hours to me every time I needed help.
