"Help, trouble importing animation into unity" (503622)

I have a character with a run cycle in 3ds max, the character is using a custom rig (bone tool, fins, IK,FK etc.)

the character is importing into unity but not the animation, also in the inpector, the “bake animation” option is grayed out

this is all so confusing and getting really frustrating

any help?

Unity inspector second half

Hi, I don’t have much experience with Unity but here are a few things that may help:
On your project tab select your FBX, on inspector set your rig type to legacy. Also set your animation wrap mode to loop, there are a few places where you can set up your wrap mode, in the animation itself and in your fbx, I’m away from my computer so I won’t be able to confirm on which one, just give a try on both and see what happens.

Best of luck.

Thanks for all the help, I couldn’t find the option to set my rig type to legacy, but I finally got it working by

Going to Motion->Trajectories and pressing Collapse.
Then “Exporting” the FBX
