Help!! Unity 5 says "unknown error occured while loading assets"

I have no idea why this error is occurring. I deleted and re-installed Unity twice but nothing is working. Whenever I load my scene, it is just empty and says that “unknown error occurred while loading assets”. The file size for my scene is still the same so I do not think that anything has been deleted. What can i do? Thank you in advance

Can you create new scenes, modify, save and open them?
Did you upgrade your project? Did you try to delete the library (I certainly assume you have a backup of your project?

I did save the scene last night. I have not upgraded anything. I will try to delete the library and get back to you

Create a BACKUP before you do that!

Yea I did create a backup. So i deleted the library and opened the scene again but it still gives the same error

I even tried to reimport the assets, but still the error keeps showing

The file seems broken. Hopefully you have a backup with a working version.

How can the file become broken? My backup also saves whenever the original does, so its same file

There are a lot of possibilities for that. You can google that on your own.

Sorry to hear that. You may consider to use some kind of version control to avoid this kind of issue in the future.
