Help with character and animation

I need help with character and animation
i downloaded a character and import into it
i wonder what is the correct way to take control of it?
the original construction worker work but the character wont listen my control
it will do many kind of animation like idle,jump,run,walk
and also the view will keep spinning

It should already have a script on it to do control.
Where is the code you have?

ya,the package i downloaded include all script
but i dont know which to put in
and btw i downloaded the 3rd person shooter in unity
i wonder how do i use it
cuz when i open the demo scene nth happen
only the hierarchy appear thing in the screen
