I have problem with Unity 3d world builder . Exacly with placing textures on 3d objects. Unity does not take the .blend files and if i use . FBX the textures are not n the object when i drag and drop on screen. I am fighting with this problem for the last 5 days and i run out of ideas .
Please Help
I tried downloading the FBX converter but it does not work . when i take the texture in .png format from P-xcell it does not show on the object. Do i have to do something in the settings of the terrain or light or something to make it visible ? I can see the arrows to move or resize the objects but cant see the objects
. I have few objects (Block of fats and house) done in blender and i have the textures for them in .png and some other formats too. I can see the texture in blender but after i export the object to .fbx ( i allso tried to convert it later to .fbx with “Autodesk FBX Converter x64 2013” ) and then try to add it to my scene there are no textures . I set the texture in unity 2 on the inspector window and set it there but cant see againe…
Thanks againe and sorry for the mess with my last post. it was really late and i just gave up.
Yes i did it in blender. uv mapped it and saved and everything… is there an option somewhere that changes the texture to be somewhere on the background maybe ?? or makes it transparent for some reason
Can you post a screen grab of what it looks like in blender and what it looks like in scene? If nothing is appearing in the scene after you add the model it sounds like your mesh might have the faces inverted if the uvs and the texture are not the problem.
Could You tell me how to invert the faces of mesh i will try it then . but in blender i can see the texture allright and its nicely wrapped around the object. ill post a screenshot after i get to my PC . Thanks
Yes there are. Thank You Everybody. I gave it to my friend yesterday and he said its my fault … My uv map was not saved or finished or something XD. he will look into it and i will come back with the answer soon.
Thanks againe.
ps. This is very nice community i think i found a new home
