Help with UV's in Maya

Hi Guys,
Quite new to Maya, and have started creating a modular road system, have a problem with the UV edges which are visible in the distance. but not close to camera, any idea what im doing wrong?

the straights are short and supposed to snap together, but the edges to visible. without the UV texture they cant be seen which makes mw think its to do with the UV’s

thanks

Andy

I think this is probably due to the texture filtering/anisotropy, or mip maps. Review this page and look at those options, try toying with them and seeing if it fixes it. Otherwise, you could still try adjusting your uv mapping so the edges arent exactly on the texture edge but leave a little buffer, that way when the texture downscales at distance, it won’t reach the blurred edge.

HI,
thanks for the help, un-ticking the Generate MIPS Maps selection in the texture properties did the trick

thanks
