Im new to unity and game making and for beginners unity is HORROR i started unity few minutes ago and got confused! There are too many options and stuff that make you confused i have no idea how to start making my own game and i will need some help
Help 1. What to click to make my own characters?
Help 2. How to make my own terrain (island or something?
Help 3. How to set things to do?( like cut trees… make fire,hunt…)
Help 4. How to make enemies (like wild animals that will want to kill you maybe…)?
Help 5. How to publish my game
Please help me as fast as possible or i will delete unity :twisted:
Wow… chill out… start with the basics. Go to the tutorials on this website. Search youtube for some tutorials. You cannot expect to make the next MMO in minutes after installing Unity. It’ll take you days if not weeks to learn the basics of gamedevelopment, and then there’s programming.
Unity is a game engine that allows you to create any type of game you want, it is not like RPGMaker where you click and drag and TADAA, i haz a game.
As with any new program that you are not used too, step back, deep breath and locate tutorials. Plenty of ideas in the learning section you are in. They have them stickied for a reason. No need to flip out and start blaming Unity for your own mistakes.
Locate basic tutorials. Grab a cup of coffee. Watch and enjoy. Also there are some really good books that go step by step too.
As far as how long to make a game. How long is a piece of string? It all depends on you, etc. I would get the basics down first.
