My suggestion is to try to develop a game from start to finish for desktop first. This will teach you how to handle data more efficiently for more limited devices. Never limit yourself when you are starting out. Perhaps develop your project for desktop first, then optimize it for mobile later.
Well it’s our project so we only have a limited time to work.
