Hex based adventure game!

Hi Guys
Update 04/07/2013
I have another build to share with you guys, I have done a lot of work under the hood to fix some problems with the pathfinder that would allow player and enemy units to occupy the same tile.
I have also added new GUI elements for the armour display as well as textures and models for the characters.

Game controls are:
Alt or MMB for rotate camera
Space or screen edge to pan camera

Hi Guys
I have a game play prototype for you guys to look at, its very very very early and I already have a long list of things that are gonna be totally redone but I need to post updates at some point.

I am using NGUI but I don’t have enough money to buy it yet so I will have to live with the water marks for a while.

Game controls are:

Alt or MMB for rotate camera
Space or screen edge to pan camera

Great work so far! Looks very promising!

I really like the art style so far and the gameplay is good too. I’m curious how did you create the script to generate hexes, did you use a certain algorithm?

Thanks for the kind words guys, I had a look at your projects as well, they are looking good. I especially liked Hax, is it some sort of “Don’t Starve” game?

Update 27/07/2013

I have another build to share with you guys, I have done a lot of work under the hood to fix some problems with the pathfinder that would allow player and enemy units to occupy the same tile.
I have also changed how blocking works so that now, rather than an armour resistance you now have a few bonus armour hit points if you block plus increased cover. This was to reduce the binary mechanic that the older setup had.
The armour is also displayed on a pedestal around the feet of all characters and on mouse over so you can see what armour a character has.
I have also added the goblin texture, they are red because green did not work against the grass background.
I have the Engineer base mesh without armour as the players characters, its better than a capsule and lets you see the style i am aiming for.

Hope you like the game so far, any comments welcome.
