Hi new guy here, I have a question please.

Hi, hope your well. Im just registered with Unity and here and I have an inquiry. I starting my Ph.D soon in experiential psychology. Im looking at psychosis particular paranoia. As one of my experiments I want to build a hallway with an controllable avatar to check for the frequency of paranoid behaviours once various environmental cues are introduced.

I have fairly decent experience using Softimages XSI (now Autodesk =( and Im wondering if I could build a fairly photo-real hallway type environment and push it into Unity for control aspects. Do you think this is possible?

Would this scenario be possible as it wouldn’t have to be all that complicated in design, just a 1st person view which is controllable via an mouse plus the ability for a researcher to cues events.

Any help on tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

p.s I have no programming experience and Im hoping that I can use scripts or drag and drop.

definitely possible and not hard at all, export your hallway to FBX and drag and drop it into unity. make sure all textures are assigned and drag the model into the scene. Unity comes with a first person controller, add that to the scene and you will be allmost done.
maybe some small edits.

Wow, thats very encouraging news. I must investigate further.
