Hierarchy models not loading and unnamed after moving Unity files between computers

Hi,

I have recently moved one of my projects from my Windows PC to my Macintosh laptop, however I am unable to see any of the hierarchy objects in my scenes. Another issue is that only prefab objects retained their names; the rest of the objects are unnamed.

I have attached a screenshot to illustrate:

The objects have retained all of their data: transforms, scripts, and values; but their names have been lost and also they do not seem to render in scene or game view.

I have already attempted using the ‘Reimport All’ option, and have tried importing to a Windows laptop as well as a Macintosh laptop - and both result in the same issue. I apologise if there has been a solution for this posted already, but my searches for the problem did not return any results.

If a solution is possible without needing to re-export the files from my PC, it would be extremely beneficial as I live quite a distance away from where the original project was created.

Best regards,
Rees.

DId the 2 machines have different versions of Unity on them? Try deleting the Library folder and then opening the project again. Did any errors or warnings show when you opened the project?

Thank you for the quick response.

It appeared that my laptop was running Unity 0.4, whilst the other machine was running Unity 0.5. A quick update resolved this problem.

Thanks again,
Rees.
