Hight-poly to Low-poly Tools

Is there any tool for automatic decreasing poligons count of 3D objects?

It is easy to find and buy a perfect 3D model now, but a lot of them is hight-poligonal, and not suitable for game dev, in particular for mobiles.
Have anybody met such tools?

That one works directly in Unity:

Blender has a really good decimator…you can go do by %, number, …

And if the models you collect are Blender models you can turn off subsurf if it was used and not applied and reduce polygons.

Simplygon, Atangeo Balancer, Mootools’ Polygon cruncher, are commercial products in that field. Zbrush has also a plug-in to reduce polygons, called Decimation Master. It’s already preinstalled in Zbrush.

A free one is Meshlab.
Blender does also polygon reducing as Goat said. Unfortunately not that optimized and with not much options.

If your model is really high-poly (100k+ polygons) you could also consider to retopologize it by yourself, with 3dcoat, 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, or Modo.

Thanks for everybody!
I think the best solution for me is using default modifer from Blender (Decimate) or 3D Studio Max (Optimizer), or maybe Polygon Cruncher.

Yes, Blender’s will work on cars such pretty good but keep original texture, but less effective on people meshes.

try 3DS MAX ProOptimizer instead Optimizer modifier

And Ignore “meshonline”… he’s just necro-ing a bunch of old posts to spam advertise.
