HMD position updates once on start, then stops, in Editor Playmode

Pretty much that simple. Simple empty project, using XR Rig. In a build, head tracking and controller tracking work fine. In play mode though, the head and controller positions updates just once and then stays at that location for the rest of the playmode session.

This behavior is consistent with both a linked Quest 2 and a Rift 1.

Anyone encountered this before?

Are you wearing the headset (or covering the ir presence sensor)?
if this continues please raise a bug.
