Horrifying Puzzle - Indie Game

Hello, we are team Arctik and we’re working togheder with TwinRaven Productions on a project that is meant to be or to become a 1 level horror game.As I wouldn’t like you to get bored I’ll jump directly to the game.

-INSOMNIA-

Back Story :

You are playing the role of Hamilton, a poor doctor who had lost his wife and only child.On his way back home a terrible accident happened to him and he fell into a deep coma.
There are reports all over the world of individuals who have had experienced something alike and who sustain that they were able to see incredible things as “Projections of God” , “Their Uncounciousness” and so on.
Our character, Dr. Hamilton will have to confront his own mind in way to survive.

Characters :

Dr. Hamilton
Dr. Hamilton’s Daughter - He will see a projection of his daughter, from time to time, which will be telling him or pleasing him to follow her into death in order to be a “reunited family” again. She will appear as a white glowing spirit.
Evil Monsters - There are more types of monster but they all look the same.Dead people who our main character could save or evil parts of his soul. They often appear as dark-red flying souls.

Plot :

Your wake up in a wooden house.On a table there are ling a flashlight and a Journal.The Journal will be your permanent guide through the game, gradually telling you the story, and also helping you to asembly the puzzles in the game. At first you are shown(in the journal) that in order to open a mysterious portal you have to collect 4 pages. After collecting the pages, your journal will be updated and you will be able to find the answer to the first puzzle. The 2nd puzzle is than self-solved and after entering the portal you will be given a choice “To follow the girl” or “To get back to life”.

The plot consists of two parts :

  1. Collecting the clues by making you way through the horrible ambient that gives you tears,the supernatural happenings and monsters who will try to kill you

  2. Choosing the correct variant.

Envirorment :

The envirorment is simple, represented by an ex-lake, which now is a swamp.In the middle of it, a big tree is rising, tree which is meant to be an orientation point. On one of lake’ sides there is a road which leads to the cave.

Game Features :

-Enemy AI with two waypoints
-Character Controller with a running script and health script
-Flashlight with batteries
-Compass that leades the way
-Possibility to get in a tower and see the map
-Death Animation and sounds

Progress [ 85% Done ]

-We still need to place the monsters and to deal with “How they’re going to scare you”
-Add some songs and sfx-s.
-Finish the ending with the 2 choises.

The game is to be a starting point for Arctik Studios and that is the reason of selling it with 2$.

Ive always liked enemies that ambush you. thats a good scare right there, make them clever enough to wait till u get within reach, then lash out at u making ur heart skip a beat or two.

It’s a Windows x32 build which includes the test area for the monster.

The envirorment had been changed completely starting with the terrain model and eding with the shaders and plants. The release date is estimated to be during this summer.
