I used to do alot of game making and 3d stuff and now im back doing it again but i am a couple years behind…(is 1000 poly’s still considered high poly and to high for game models? or has it been increased now?)
Anyway i have been modeling in maya and have created a horse.
I aim to rig and animate it using maya if i can remember how but i am quite new to unity so do not know how to start so i have a few questions
How or what order do i have to set the animations?
frames 1-10 attack
11-20 move forward
21-30 move back
31-40 die
What does the ai script look like for unity is it quite simple to attack a ai script for the animations?
The rig, does the rig have to be specially set up like renaming bones to certain things and that or seeing how unity can use scenes out of maya can the rig be anything as long as it moves and unit does the rest?
Im having a bit of difficulty with the wire frame as in maya after exporting the normal map from mudbox the model goes really black and lumpy when i render the horse in maya with the bump map on,
Anyway please tell me how i could get this horse into maya to walk around, attack maybe if horses attack…and die when shot at or attacked…
