Hosting through Google Drive

Hello,

I replied on a different thread about this but I thought I would throw up my own thread about my issue.

I made a web player build through Unity and I wanted to host it somewhere so people can play it. I heard you could do it through Google Drive but it doesn’t seem to be working.

I opened up Google Drive and dropped in the HTML and Unity file. I set the HTML file to be public and I copied the address that is present when I click the "share button in Google Drive. That address takes to me to a bunch of what I assume is HTML but it doesn’t open the Unity Player.

Any idea what I am doing wrong or a step that has changed in the process? :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Google Drive doesn’t work like that. It’s specifically and only for file sharing. When you link to a public document (including an HTML page), that person can download that HTML file, but they cannot really “view” it (especially with an embedded media script) through Google Drive like that.

You CANNOT use it as a place to host/embed a unity game, it doesn’t quiet work like that. I’ve had Google Drive since it first launched and I host alot of programming/coding on it.

Weird, I was using this tutorial

Is this incorrect?
