I’m addicted to hotkeys. And I really got tired of not having one for play/stop. So, I made one. And then I decided to share it. Just put it in the Editor folder, and press Ctrl+P to play or stop the editor. If you make any more hotkeys, feel free to share!
There’s already a keyboard command for play/stop; you don’t need to make one. (Also, for Mac users, you can make a keyboard shortcut for any menu item that doesn’t have one by using the system keyboard preferences.)
First, you did what you did, and then somebody replied as they did. The whole thing just seemed ludicrous to me. I wasn’t intending to be rude; I was confused.
Well i replied as i did because i myself have been around unity for a while and never knew there was a hot key for that. But after looking around i guess there is.
To clarify, putting “function Update ()” in a script that you put in the Editor folder won’t actually run. (There is an EditorApplication.update delegate which you can use for editor scripts though.) Also, there’s no key defined as “ctrl”; you have to specify left ctrl or right ctrl.
