How are Material elements generated?

Why was this mesh split up to 3 element when applying materials? (It seems done by unity editor itself, but how and what can I do to modify it?)

What ever tool you used to create the Model, has multiple materials set on it, so when Unity imports the mesh, it detects that there’s materials associated with it, and imports them relative to the asset in a Folder called Materials.

I’d recommend removing those other materials within the modeling program that you’re using.
