How can i add items from different folders into a variable in the editor

For example, i have these fields and i need to attach items into it, but i cant. Since the items are in another folder, when i click to select, does not appear any item. It only works if i put the items in the same folder, but thats not what i want. Can someone help me, please?

can you not drag and drop them from the other folder?

yeah, thats the point, i cant drag from another folder or just ctrl c and ctrl v into it, does not work.

why not? you should be able to lock the inspector (see padlock) and then go to the folder you want and drop them, if you cant, then they arent the right type

yeah i know, thats why i came here to ask if someone can help me. Seems to be some bug. They are the right type, it works if i put them in the same folder, so the problem is that, the path or something like that. I dont want to be all in the same folder, would be a mess

well then the locked inspector should work - only other reason could be an asmdef perhaps
