How can I annihilate version control in Unity

This thing is like a ghost, automatically updating its own stuff in the background. Then my editor goes into a long wait and then freezes. Even if I uninstalled it, it automatically installed back when I reopened the project. Is this some kind of rogue app?

How are you uninstalling it?

Isn’t it unreasonable to install from PackageManager and uninstall from PackageManager?

Did you mean to say not unreasonable? Because the package manager is how you should be removing it.

Everything in Unity Registry basically remains somewhere. I just found out.

Can you please answer my questions directly?

And the Unity registry is just a list of packages produced by Unity. It doesn’t mean they’re in your project.

This thing reappeared in my project.

What I mean is, if I can install it from PackageManager, I should be able to uninstall it too.

Yes, so are you removing it via the package manager? If you are, it shouldn’t be adding itself back in again.

Then it does the same thing again

How to annihilate Unity’s version control? The answer is don’t add it back.
He seemed to answer something, but didn’t seem to answer anything.

It’s very hard to help if you can’t give a normal, straight answer.

When someone asks, “How are you uninstalling it?” you should answer, “I’m uninstalling it via the package manager.”

Can you do that?

In case you haven’t realised, I’m trying to work out what you’ve done so far, so alternatives can be suggested.

Don’t the people who created UnityRegistry think it’s shameful to throw garbage on other people’s computers and let others clean up the mess you left? Re-opening the project automatically re-installs it. Don’t you feel ashamed of such rogue behavior?

It stays uninstalled for us. You may have some other software that’s resetting the package manifest for your project? Annoying that it’s installed by default though.
