How can I detect multiple objects with sqrMagnitude or any other alternatives?

I am currently working on a Binding of isaac clone. And I’m stuck on creating the bombs, I want to use sqrMagnitude to affect the objects that are close to the bomb once it goes off. But I am struggling on how to detect the objects that are close as it could be a variety of objects. Any tips or alternative ways would help.


use physics.overlapshere to get a list of all nearby colliders in a radius

the most elegant way is to use collision layers to only collide with objects you want to collide with. Alternatly you can use a foreach statement on the results of the overlap and cehck each item collided with to see if its something you can hit with a bomb.
