How can I edit Lightweight Render Pipeline Shaders via Script?

Hey,
I want to change the Tiling of a material based on the Lightweight Render Pipeline/SimpleLit Shader via script. Does anybody knows how its working? Because

        MeshRenderer mr = GetComponent<MeshRenderer>();
        Material mat = new Material(mr.material);
        mat.mainTextureScale = new Vector2(2f, 2f);
        mr.material = mat;

does not work for me :confused:
