i have point lights and particles on the flare. The ones in the middle of the image not only fail to cast a light on the terrain but the tile corners are also dark and glitchy. Im hoping this is something that can be easily fixed.
Are you using Deferred Rending or forward lighting ?
I suggest you to move your light a bit in the up direction. And look at your Quality Settings, and increase the Pixel Light Count. Look at the Documentation.
You could also add Soft Particles for the flares.
